GRANTS FOR DOWNTOWN BUSINESSES

Downtown Partnership’s funding programs provide access to capital to sustain and grow
businesses and improve the properties within the Downtown Management Authority
boundaries. Awards are based on the submission of complete applications, including required documents, and availability of funds.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
When applying to DPOB’s funding programs, the following documents must be downloaded and signed and dated by a legal signatory for the applicant business or organization. These documents will be required to be submitted with any application for funding.
Additionally, based on the grant program, the following attachments may be required to be submitted as part of an application in order for the application to be considered complete:
  • Online verification (screenshot) of certificate of status or business registration from the Maryland State Department of Assessments and Taxation
  • Signed and dated IRS W-9 Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification
  • Business Certification: Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT)
  • Financials and/or Business Plan-Proforma
  • Letter of Intent; Signed Lease or Online Verification of Ownership (screenshot) from the Maryland Department of Assessment and Taxation's Real Property Database
  • Copy of Certificate of Insurance - Property and Casualty
  • Total Project Budget and Cost Estimates/Contracts
  • Photographs
